On Tuesday 14th July, Screen Staffordshire welcomed guests to its Year One Lookback event at Weston Park.
It was a real honour for us to share some of the key exploits of our first full year in operation with those in attendance, many of whom being integral to the lofty heights we’ve scaled up to over the last twelve months.
Opened on the day by Councillor Martin Murray (Leader, Staffordshire County Council) – who remarked at the office’s huge success and impact on the economy – we were then led through key moments and stats by Film Office Manager, Jonny Shelton.
A panel featuring Anderson West (Producer, Jeruty Films), Eleanor Ham (Founder, LCA Academy and Agency), Olivia Thackstone (Stoke-on-Trent City Council) and Ryan Clackstone (Courtyard by Marriott, Keele) followed, where our audience learned of how the film office has worked with each of them and to what benefit.
This all before our Film Office Manager outlined the economic impact enabled by the film office in 2025-2026. Read more about our first-year impact here!
Thank you to everyone who made the time to come and learn more – now onto year two!
