Screen Staffordshire: June 2025 Update
Well, what a month we had in June!
We were proud to officially launch at Hoar Cross Hall, in East Staffordshire. This landmark moment for us was six months in the making – and the 120+ attendees rose to the occasion, each of them bringing infectious enthusiasm and positivity.
We were overjoyed to hear from Staffordshire County Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, Cllr Martin Murray; We Are Staffordshire Place Board Chair, Hannah Ault; and We Are Staffordshire team lead, Louisa Shaw – before our Film Office Manager Jonny Shelton outlined where the film office was and where he wanted it to go.
A panel featuring Chelsea Foster (Filming in England), Claire Dolman (Chillington Hall) and Deborah Aston (Line Producer) was chaired by Tilley Bancroft (Making Trails) and discussed the value, offering and function of a local film office.

Although the launch took up a lot of our bandwidth in June, we were also pleased to get this very website up and running, and to continue populating it with useful info for incoming productions. The home of our brand is in these four digital walls and we invite you to take an extensive look around.
We’d also like to thank South Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent local authorities for arranging recces and visits for the film office, to aide our ambitions to profile the whole of Staffordshire. Profiling the county was further aided by the further shooting of another video in support of Visit Britain’s #StarringGREATBritain campaign, in partnership with our Local Visitor Economy Partnership, leading on from similar vids at Weston Park and World of Wedgwood.
Plus, we may have been helping incoming productions more and more, which we can’t talk about too much…!
